Meghann Fahy, best known for playing Daphne in HBO’s “The White Lotus” Season 2, confirmed last year that she’s dating her co-star Leo Woodall. Now she’s explaining why that relationship works so well – and it has everything to do with understanding the strange rhythm of showbiz.
Speaking on CBS Mornings on April 10, Meghann shared how being with someone from the same professional world brings a certain kind of peace. “I think that it’s just really great to be deeply understood,” she said. “There’s so many weird things about this industry and what we do. So, I think there’s just something really lovely about being with somebody who really gets that.”
From Sicily to Something Serious
Meghann Fahy, 34, and Leo Woodall, 28, met while filming in Sicily, Italy, for “The White Lotus.” Their chemistry onscreen didn’t just stay there – by 2024, the two had gone public with their relationship, though they’ve remained careful about keeping it largely offline.
Leo previously said that broadcasting relationships all over social media doesn’t feel right to him. “To me, that’s the only way,” he explained. “You see public relationships all the time slapped all over social media and I can’t imagine that’s any fun. [Relationships] should be a safe space, so I think letting people into it is completely counter-productive.”
Would Meghann Return to White Lotus?
Absolutely – and especially if Italy is involved again. When asked if she’d revisit her role as Daphne Sullivan, Meghann didn’t hesitate. “I would totally go back, of course – especially if it’s in Italy again!” she said. While she doesn’t have a storyline in mind, she remains curious about what her character might be up to these days.
“I just love that character, and I often wonder what she’s up to, you know, where she can be getting into,” she laughed.
And while Daphne was written as a bit of a wildcard, Meghann’s clearly got a soft spot for her resilience. “Somebody asked me the other day what’s your character that you’ve played want to come save you if you ever got into trouble, and I picked Daphne because I feel like she would be getting in there, dropping down from like a helicopter.”
Keeping It Real – and Private
In a Hollywood world where everything’s on display, Meghann and Leo’s decision to keep their relationship as low-key as possible feels refreshingly real. From shared red carpets to quiet moments off-camera, they’ve found a rhythm that works – built on mutual understanding, trust, and a whole lot of admiration.
As Meghann put it, being truly “deeply understood” by someone who lives the same highs and lows of the industry isn’t just convenient – it’s what makes the connection last.
And if their characters don’t reunite on “The White Lotus,” at least fans know the real-life duo are already working on their best storyline yet.
