Mick Foley Hospitalized After Terrifying Car Crash: “No Idea How I’m Still Walking”

Wrestling legend Mick Foley is lucky to be alive after a terrifying car crash left his vehicle mangled and his body battered.

The 59-year-old WWE Hall of Famer shared a shocking photo on Instagram of the wreckage-a shattered windshield, smashed-in bumper, and no hood in sight. Despite the brutal impact, Foley somehow walked away with just a minor concussion and a body full of soreness.

“I have no idea how I’m still walking around after this accident,” he wrote from his hospital bed. “I’m sore from my knees to my neck.”

The post immediately flooded with support from the wrestling world.

Kurt Angle joked, “You’ve actually done more damage in the ring than with that car. GOD Bless you Mick.” Dean “Mojo” Muhtadi chimed in, “Only you could walk out of a car in that shape and be mostly fine.” WWE announcer Alicia Taylor simply said: “Omg! Glad you’re ok Mick!! ❤️”

Foley-famous for his iconic alter-egos Mankind, Cactus Jack, and Dude Love-has been no stranger to physical punishment, but even he admitted this one shook him. He joined WWE in 1996 and officially retired in 2000, though he’s returned for occasional surprises, including a fan-favorite appearance at the 2012 Royal Rumble. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.

Just this year, Foley had made headlines for an impressive 90-pound weight loss transformation, crediting a mix of healthy eating, DDPYoga, swimming, and even weight loss medication (Wegovy) after reaching over 370 pounds.

“I was a heart attack waiting to happen,” Foley admitted in a YouTube update. “If I needed a little help, I should take it. I’m feeling pretty good now.”

This accident could’ve ended very differently, but Foley-true to his nickname “The Hardcore Legend” – once again proves that he’s made of tougher stuff than most.

Wishing Mick a speedy recovery-and knowing him, he’ll probably be joking about this in the next podcast episode.
