After years of wild internet whispers, Reign Disick – Kourtney Kardashian’s youngest child with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick – is putting an end to one of the most persistent (and bizarre) celebrity rumors: that Justin Bieber is secretly his dad.
In a now-viral Instagram Live session with his step-sister Alabama Barker’s boyfriend, Scooter Jackson, 10-year-old Reign was asked point-blank about the speculation – and his response was surprisingly direct.
“No, he’s [Bieber] not [my dad]. Bro, I swear, Justin Bieber is not my dad,” Reign said with a laugh. “Scotty … Scotty … Scotty is my dad.” He then hilariously added, “I don’t know how old my mom was, but I think Justin Bieber was 16 when I got born. I don’t think my mom would do that.”
For context: Reign was born in December 2014. At that time, Kourtney was still in an on-again, off-again relationship with Scott Disick, though the two split in 2015. The Justin Bieber rumors picked up steam in the months that followed, when Kourtney Kardashian was allegedly linked to the pop star in a short-lived (and never confirmed) romance.
Bieber, who is 14 years younger than Kourtney, later downplayed the situation in interviews, denying anything romantic. But that didn’t stop fans from comparing photos of Reign to young Bieber and connecting dots that were more conspiracy than credible.
The topic of paternity speculation seems to be a touchy one for the Kardashian family lately. Just days before Reign’s IG Live moment, Kourtney had to publicly deny another wild theory – that her eldest son, Mason, had secretly fathered a child at age 15.
“I rarely address rumors or conspiracies regarding myself or my family, but this is about my child and it feels wrong to let this continue,” Kourtney wrote on Instagram, slamming the baseless gossip.
It’s no surprise that the Kardashian kids are growing up in the spotlight, but with more of them gaining social media presence, they’re also learning how to clap back – in true Kardashian style.
As for Reign? It looks like he’s inherited the family’s PR instincts. Addressing a long-running tabloid theory with a straight-up fact check, a little humor, and a healthy dose of “Seriously, y’all?” might just make him the next breakout voice of the Kardashian dynasty.
