Molly-Mae Hague just filled in a major blank fans didn’t even know existed. The former Love Island star admitted she left out a “massive chapter” when she announced her breakup with Tommy Fury, and it involves a messy house move, family logistics, and a whole lot of emotional chaos.
In a new YouTube video, the 25-year-old said things were a lot more complicated behind the scenes than she originally let on. “I’m not actually at my house, I’m at Tommy’s house,” she explained, before diving into the real story.
Turns out, just before their split, the couple had been in the middle of moving house, something she had previously teased but never explained. “Basically we were in the process of moving house,” she said. “My house was completely packed up. I had people coming to view it to rent it.”
When the breakup happened, reportedly due to Tommy’s issues with alcohol, Molly-Mae moved back to their old house with their daughter Bambi. Meanwhile, Tommy stayed at the new home they had just moved into together.
“It was even more of a hard time than anyone realised,” she said. “It was a lot of turmoil. It was shambles.”
She admitted she had intended to tell fans the full story earlier but didn’t get around to it before things fell apart between her and Tommy.
Since the breakup, the two have been spending more time together again, though she made it clear that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re back on. “It doesn’t mean anything… it might mean something, but I hope it doesn’t get read into too much,” she said. “We’re just figuring things out.”
She also cleared up why her sister Zoe and her husband Danny moved into her house, because she’s been spending more time at the new home with Tommy and didn’t want her original place sitting empty.
“Hopefully, in a dream world, I get to a place where I am permanently in this house,” she added.
So while the breakup news may have seemed clean-cut when it first dropped, Molly-Mae’s update shows the reality was a lot messier, filled with packed boxes, parenting decisions, and unresolved feelings.
